New Beginnings

A new year marks a new beginning, so this year we are going try something new, a roadmap journey, that will dive deep into some security basics that will help protect you from online threats. We will wind through a topic each month and explore common vulnerabilities, real world examples, and how to protect yourself against them without getting overly technical.  My hope is that at the conclusion of this journey you will be more confident in your ability to secure your digital footprint.

Preparing for the road trip

To prepare for this journey take some time and make a list of all your accounts. Do not write down your credentials, just a name for the account, for example ‘work email’ and ‘personal gmail’. This will help you through this journey and will be a good exercise to see how big your digital footprint is.
